Stick Shift Drift

Posted by
aphasia (Beijing, China) on 14 June 2007 in Transportation.

The road out down from Jie Tai Si to the main road is quiet and winding. Below the temple is a dusty parking lot with hawkers to tired to bother us. (or maybe they only try to sell you incense on the way in...) Beijing's public bus system runs many tourist buses, with A/C and nice seats. For only a few kuai, we road from the end of the metro, out through the suburbs of steel factories and vinyards, and finally up the western hills. We hopped off at Jie Tai Si, but could have continued on to a busier temple.
